Quick update

Hi everyone,

Today I unfortunately don’t have a nail art for you guys. This is because school started yesterday, and I can’t make as much posts as I did in the vacation. I will still try to post every week, and I hope you will keep on visiting my blog to see the upcoming nail arts! See you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 7

Hi everyone,

Today is the 7th day of the nail art challenge, which means I had to make black and white nails. I wanted to make a pattern, and so I decided to make the houndstooth pattern. It looks quite difficult and it takes some time, but I really like the way it looks. Although I do think it can look a little bit better I you practice more. The pattern isn’t very hard to make, you just start with a little square, the draw two triangles at the left bottom, and finish with two diagonal lines from the left upper corner and the right bottom. The colors I used are nr. 59 Black is back from Essence, and a nameless white polish.  I hope you like this nail art as much as I do, and that I’ll see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 6

Hi everyone,

Today I made day six of the 30 days nail art challenge, which is the violet nail art. I started to make the nail art, but soon I noticed it wasn’t working out the way I wanted. Eventually I ended up making two different nail arts, but I wasn’t really happy with either one of them. I eventually chose for the second nail art, which is shown above. For this nail art, I made white dots on my nails with my dotting tool, and in these dots I created smaller dots with a purple polish. The colors I used are nr. 190 Wrapped Around My Finger from Catrice, nr. 08 from Hema and a white polish which has no brand.

When I was making pictures of the nail art, it strongly reminded me of the ‘evil eye‘. If you don’t know the evil eye; it is believed to be able to cause injury or bad luck! I, of course, hope that it doesn’t work like this if you just look at it ;). I’d like to see you soon at my next nail art, which will hopefully turn out better!

30 days nail art challenge day 5

Hi everyone,

Today I have the blue nail art challenge for you guys, which belongs to day five. I decided to make a skyline nail art, inspired by cutepolish. I first made a gradient on my nail with the colors nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao and nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II from Catrice. I then made the buildings with my black nail polish Nero from Gosh. The windows are made with the color nr. 865 Yellow Sub-Mandarin from Catrice. I then used my white Essence striper to create the stars and the moon. I had a lot of fun making this design and I love the way it turned out. I hope you guys like it to! If you are also doing the 30 days nail art challenge, then link your blog in the comments, so I can watch your creations. Below is a second picture of my design, and I hope to see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 4

Hi everyone,

Today I have the nail art that belongs to day 4 from the 30 days nail art challenge. The theme this time was green, and I decided to make a French manicure with a twist. I painted three nails light green with a dark green tip, and two nails dark green with a light green tip. The dark green I used is nr. 340 Run Forest Run from Catrice, and for the light green I used nr. 240 Sold Out For Ever which is also from Catrice. I think the nail art itself looks good, but it is a bit plain and simple. If you want to, you can easily add some details to it which will make it even more stand out. Below is another picture of the nail art, and I will see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 3

Hi everyone,

Today I made the nail art challenge day 3, which is the yellow nail art. I instantly knew I wanted to make a bumble bee nail art, and after searching for some inspirational pics and thinking about my design I created my nail art. As a base color I used nr. 95 Wanna be your sunshine by Essence. The black color is Nero by Gosh. This nail art is quite happy and bright, and might look a bit childish. However, I like it for the variation. You can add more details if you like to, but this isn’t necessary. I hope you like my nail art, and for more pictures you can look below. See you soon!

NOTD; coral gradient

Hi everyone,

Today I have another gradient nail. At the moment this is really my favorite, easy ‘nail thing’. I like the fact that it can be made with all different colors, and that it looks really good with only a little afford. On the picture you can see a little rough texture on my nails, which is caused by the make up sponge I used to apply the nail polish with. I also made an other article about gradient nails, which is a little more elaborate about how to get this manicure. So be sure to check that out! I hope you liked this real quick Nails Of The Day, and I will see you guys soon!

Roses nail art

Hi everyone,

Today I have another nail art for you guys, and this time it is with roses! I have made this nail art before with different colour combinations; a black background with red/white roses, a green background with coral/white roses and a couple of different variations. For now, I liked these colors because they are happy and bright. The nail art itself isn’t really difficult to make, so I will give you guys a quick how-to. As always, you start with a base coat, and two layers of the base colour. The colour I used is 240 Sold Out For Ever from Catrice. Next I used my dotting tool to make four dots with nail polish; two coral ones opposite of each other and two white ones opposite of each other. In the end I got a square of four nail polish dots. To make these dots I used the colors 030 Meet Me At Coral Island from Catrice and 01 Ahoy! from the 50’s girls reloaded LE from Essence. I used a thin wooden stick to swirl through the colours and in this way make the roses. I also made a white dot in the middle as the ‘heart’ of the rose. To finish it, I used the color 340 Run Forest Run from Catrice to make the leaves of the roses. At the end I applied a top coat and the design was finished! I hope you like it, and I will see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 2

Hi everyone,

Today I will continue with the 30 days nail art challenge. The challenge for day two is to make orange nails. I decided to make go for orange tribal nails. After watching this video from Cutepolish, I decided to make it as well. I changed the colors to make the nail art fit it to the challenge, and changed the design a bit to. The colors I used are nr. 865 Yellow Sub-Mandarin from Catrice, nr. 95 Wanna be your sunshine from Essence, nr. 59 Black is back from Essence, and the white tip painter from Essence. I really like the end result, and I hope you like it to! Below are the pictures ofthe end result, and I will see you soon!

NOTD; Glitter it is!

Hi everyone,

Today I want to show you the nail art I made yesterday, with glitters! After seeing these inspirational caviar nails, I decided I would make my own. I recently found six different colors of glitter in my cabinet, so I decided I would make my nails colorful and funky. I don’t consider this as a real nail art, so I decided to call it NOTD; Nails Of The Day. I first painted my nails black for a good layer under the glitter. For this, I used ‘Nero’ from Gosh. I then but a layer of top coat on it and when it was still wet I sprinkled the glitters on top. This wasn’t very hard to do, but the problem was that when I was finished, everything was covered in glitter. Not only my nails, but also my desk, hands, clothes I was wearing and even my face! It took some time to get it off, but then you are left with gorgeous nails that stand out! Below are the pictures of the end result. See you soon!
