Galaxy nails 2.0

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share with you these galaxy nails I created. When thinking of possible nail arts I could create, I remembered this technique I used a long time ago. I searched back for it on my blog and found it; over a year ago, I wrote this post about my galaxy nails. Today I decided to use the same method and the results can be seen below! I also included a comparison of the previous galaxy nail art I made and this one, to show the difference. The two left pictures are from the design I made a year ago, the two right pictures are from this week. Looking back at it like this, I think it is fun to see the progress I made with painting my nails!

NOTD: Call me Princess

Hi everyone,

Today I want to show you this gorgeous new pink polish. ‘Call me Princess’ from Catrice belongs to the Crushed Crystals line and has the typical liquid sand finish. It is a girly pink colour, packed with golden glitters. The only minor flaw in the polish is the coverage; although I applied three thin coats for this picture, the polish still isn’t fully opaque. However, in natural light this will not be noticed at all, which makes it truly a princess polish!

It’s a green kind of day

Hi everyone,

Today’s nailart is a combination of stripes and a gradient. I used various shades of green over a white base, to make the colours pop and be able to add the neat white lines between the colours. I created these lines by using striping tape and placing it horizontally on my nails. The different shades of green I used are ‘Stylenomics’ by Essie, ‘Run Forest Run’ by Catrice, ‘Wasabi hint’ by L’oreal, ‘Sold out forever’ by Catrice, and ‘Did someone say nude?’ by Essence, from the limited edition collection ‘Season of Extremes’.

30 days nail art challenge day 19

Hi everyone,

Today I’m super excited to show you the galaxy nails I created for day 19 of the 30 days nail art challenge! I’ve always liked the galaxy nails, but they seemed so difficult to make, so I never came to creating them. When I saw today’s nail art is about galaxy nails I immediately started searching on YouTube for tutorials and inspiration. After seeing some great designs I started creating my own. As a base color I used nr. 59 Black is back from Essence. With a make-up sponge, I applied the colors nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II and nr. 620 Captain Sparrow’s Boat from Catrice on top of it. To add some glitter, I used the CO4 Shake It! Flake It! (LE Million Styles) from Catrice. After waiting for some time to allow everything to dry completely, I continued using my make-up sponge and the brand less white polish. With this, I created diagonal, horizontal and vertical ‘lines’ across my nails. On top of the white I applied yellow and pink, again with the make-up sponge. The nail polishes I used for this are nr. 95 Wanna be your sunshine by Essence and nr. 030 Meet Me At Coral Island by Catrice. Then I again applied the glitter top coat, followed by a layer of golden glitter top coat. To finish everything off, I applied a final regular top coat. I hope you like the design, and I’ll see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 18

Hi everyone,

Today I made a half-moon nail design, which belongs to day 18 of the 30 days nail art challenge. Like the ‘nail art’ I created yesterday, again I don’t think the half-moon nails can be classified as a real nail art. Therefore, this will again be a short post, because there’s just nothing much I can say about it. The half-moon design is a nice variation on the regular french manicure or plain nails with just one color, but furthermore it isn’t really anything special. Creating this is easy: I first applied two layers of my brand less white polish, and then started creating the half moons using my Essence striper. The main color used is nr. 880 No Snow Petrol from Catrice. After applying a top coat, the design was finished! Below is the other picture, and I’ll see you soon!

NOTD; Paris, je t’aime

Hi everyone,

Today I have fun news; I’m off to Paris for five days with school! I’m really looking forward to this and to come into the french mood  I’ve made a french manicure. Literally, because I painted the french flag on four on my fingers and wrote ‘Paris’ on my finger left! The white base color I used is my brand-less polish, as always. The blue and red are nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao and nr. 360 Raspberry Fields Forever from Catrice. The black polish I used for writing Paris is nr. 59 Black is back from Essence. I hope you like the nail art, and I will surely enjoy my time in ‘la douce France’! Bye for now, and I will see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 15

Hi everyone,

After not-blogging for quite some days, today I’m back with another nail art for you guys. Today’s nail art belongs to the nail art challenge day 15 and it is supposed to be a delicate print. I don’t know what about you guys, but I honestly didn’t know what to do with this days challenge. After searching on google for some inspiration, I discovered almost everyone used stamping plates for this nail art. To me, this is not a real form of nail art, so I decided to just try and create an abstract pattern on my nails. The colors I used are nr. 880 No Snow Petrol from Catrice as a base color, and a mixture of white and nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao from Catrice to create the stripes. As a finishing touch I applied the color Sea Pearl from H&M on top of the stripes, to give them a subtle shimmer. The end result is shown above and below, I hope you like it and I will see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 14

Hi everyone,

Today I made the flower nail art from the 30 art nail art challenge, which means that I’m almost halfway through the challenge! I still enjoy thinking about the design and creating every nail  art. I’m also looking forward to the final ten days, when the challenges will get more and more difficult. But enough about the nail arts that still have to come, and back to the nail art of today; day 14. I first wanted to make sunflowers on my nails, but I couldn’t get them right and I ended up making a completely flowers. The base color I used is nr. CO4 Drama Queen (LE Welcome To Vegas) from Catrice. I didn’t use this color for a long time, but when I look at it now I wonder why! It is a gorgeous black color with shimmer in it, and especially in the sunlight it looks amazing. Continuing with the nail art, I then used my striper brush and the colors nr. 880 No Snow Petrol, nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao, and nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II from Catrice to create the flowers. I made the white center with my brand less white polish. I hope you like the nail art, and I’ll see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 13

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while, but today I have another nail art for you guys! The challenge for day 13 was to create a nail art with animal print. I didn’t want to go for the standard leopard of zebra nails, so when a friend of mine came up with the idea of cow-nails I created them as soon as I got home from school. As a base color I used my brand less white polish (I know, I use it a lot haha) and then, using my dotting tool, I created the black spots. For the black spots I used nail polish nr. 59 Black is back from Essence. On my ring finger I used the polish nr. 480 Miss Piggy Reloaded from Catrice. The nail art didn’t take long to create and looks simple but cute. I hope you like it, and I’ll see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 12

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re enjoying your free Sunday, and that you’ll enjoy the nail art I made today! As you can see, the theme of today was stripes. I used the color 850 Aretha’s R-E-S-P-I-N-K from Catrice as a base color, and allowed it to dry completely. Then I applied nr. 59 Black is back from Essence on top of it. Using a toothpick, I drew the lines in the still wet black polish in such a way that the pink underneath it showed up. It’s quick, easy and fun, and can be combined with a lot of colors! Another fun idea is to first make a rainbow gradient as a base color and then to add the black and draw the lines in it. Below is the second picture of this nail art, and I hope to see you soon!
