Galaxy nails 2.0

Hi everyone,

Today I want to share with you these galaxy nails I created. When thinking of possible nail arts I could create, I remembered this technique I used a long time ago. I searched back for it on my blog and found it; over a year ago, I wrote this post about my galaxy nails. Today I decided to use the same method and the results can be seen below! I also included a comparison of the previous galaxy nail art I made and this one, to show the difference. The two left pictures are from the design I made a year ago, the two right pictures are from this week. Looking back at it like this, I think it is fun to see the progress I made with painting my nails!

Did somebody say… USA?

Hi everyone,

For my international internship, a compulsory part of my school curriculum, I got the amazing chance to go to the USA and stay in a host family. Before leaving, I thought it would be appropriate to paint my nails extra special for the occasion and created the American flag. I had an amazing trip to the States, and my nails were very well received. I hope you like them too, and I’ll see you guys soon!

Perfectly paisley

Hi everyone,

As much as I like detailed nail art, I almost never come around to making one. This nail art is an exception, and I love the way it turned out. The paisley design looks difficult, but is actually fairly simple. Although I created it a while ago, I still adore the way it looks and I hope you do to! The two polishes I used for this are ‘Heaven white’ and ‘Black out’, both by a brand named Misa. Take care and I’ll see you guys soon!

It’s a green kind of day

Hi everyone,

Today’s nailart is a combination of stripes and a gradient. I used various shades of green over a white base, to make the colours pop and be able to add the neat white lines between the colours. I created these lines by using striping tape and placing it horizontally on my nails. The different shades of green I used are ‘Stylenomics’ by Essie, ‘Run Forest Run’ by Catrice, ‘Wasabi hint’ by L’oreal, ‘Sold out forever’ by Catrice, and ‘Did someone say nude?’ by Essence, from the limited edition collection ‘Season of Extremes’.

Have a great day and I’ll see you guys soon!

Mint me up

Hi everyone,

To start off with, I’ll just show you this quick nail art I did a couple of weeks ago. The mint nail polish I used is ‘That’s what I mint’ by Essence. Furthermore I just used a little brush and some tape to create the triangles. Then adding the final studs, this simple look came together. I hope you all like it, and I’ll see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 19

Hi everyone,

Today I’m super excited to show you the galaxy nails I created for day 19 of the 30 days nail art challenge! I’ve always liked the galaxy nails, but they seemed so difficult to make, so I never came to creating them. When I saw today’s nail art is about galaxy nails I immediately started searching on YouTube for tutorials and inspiration. After seeing some great designs I started creating my own. As a base color I used nr. 59 Black is back from Essence. With a make-up sponge, I applied the colors nr. 580 Blues Brother Vol. II and nr. 620 Captain Sparrow’s Boat from Catrice on top of it. To add some glitter, I used the CO4 Shake It! Flake It! (LE Million Styles) from Catrice. After waiting for some time to allow everything to dry completely, I continued using my make-up sponge and the brand less white polish. With this, I created diagonal, horizontal and vertical ‘lines’ across my nails. On top of the white I applied yellow and pink, again with the make-up sponge. The nail polishes I used for this are nr. 95 Wanna be your sunshine by Essence and nr. 030 Meet Me At Coral Island by Catrice. Then I again applied the glitter top coat, followed by a layer of golden glitter top coat. To finish everything off, I applied a final regular top coat. I hope you like the design, and I’ll see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 18

Hi everyone,

Today I made a half-moon nail design, which belongs to day 18 of the 30 days nail art challenge. Like the ‘nail art’ I created yesterday, again I don’t think the half-moon nails can be classified as a real nail art. Therefore, this will again be a short post, because there’s just nothing much I can say about it. The half-moon design is a nice variation on the regular french manicure or plain nails with just one color, but furthermore it isn’t really anything special. Creating this is easy: I first applied two layers of my brand less white polish, and then started creating the half moons using my Essence striper. The main color used is nr. 880 No Snow Petrol from Catrice. After applying a top coat, the design was finished! Below is the other picture, and I’ll see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 17

Hi everyone,

Today the adventure of the 30 days nail art challenge continues with the nail art of day 17. The challenge for this day was to create glitter nails. To be honest, I don’t consider glitter nails as a real nail art. It is just a special top coat you apply on top of the normal polish, so actually nothing really special. Nonetheless, as the challenge contains a glitter nail art, I made glitter nails! As a base color I used the polish nr. 60 (or 09, I have no idea, haha) by SOHO, which is a dark, burgundy red. On the pictures the color doesn’t really show, in real life it is a lot darker. On top of this I applied the nail art special effect topper nr. 11 Disco Disco by Essence. The end result is a clean and simple nail design, which isn’t very difficult to create and therefore a good option when you are in a hurry but still want your nails to look good. Below is the second picture of the end design, and I will see you guys soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 16

Hi everyone,

Today  I will continue with the 30 days nail art challenge. As I’m back from Paris and in the middle of my autumn brake, I’m planning to do lots and lots of nail art these upcoming days! But for now, without any further ado I will go on to the nail art of day 16. The challenge for today was to make a tribal print nail art, and as you might know I did this before! In this post I showed you the orange tribal nails I created. This time I chose completely different colors: black, white and grey. I used the polish nr. 59 Black is back from Essence, my brand less white and a mixture of the two to create the grey. The overall nail art turned out to be quite dark, which is something I would probably change if I’d recreate this nail art. Furthermore I think it looks fine, and I hope you like it. Below is the second picture of the nail art, and I’ll see you soon!

30 days nail art challenge day 15

Hi everyone,

After not-blogging for quite some days, today I’m back with another nail art for you guys. Today’s nail art belongs to the nail art challenge day 15 and it is supposed to be a delicate print. I don’t know what about you guys, but I honestly didn’t know what to do with this days challenge. After searching on google for some inspiration, I discovered almost everyone used stamping plates for this nail art. To me, this is not a real form of nail art, so I decided to just try and create an abstract pattern on my nails. The colors I used are nr. 880 No Snow Petrol from Catrice as a base color, and a mixture of white and nr. 400 Blue Cara Ciao from Catrice to create the stripes. As a finishing touch I applied the color Sea Pearl from H&M on top of the stripes, to give them a subtle shimmer. The end result is shown above and below, I hope you like it and I will see you soon!
